Terry brings 23 years of naval experience to BEAK Engineering and considerable business acumen across a range of commercial roles. He has an impressive list of qualifications in the aeronautical field including a Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Airframes and Engines and a Certificate in Engineering Aircraft Metal Fabrication. Terry’s management credentials include a Certificate 4 in Frontline Management and a Diploma in Project Management, completing his MBA in 2011. He is a certified Quality Assurance Inspector and holds a Certificate 4 in Vocational Training.
During his career in the Royal Australian Navy, Terry attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer, while becoming the Senior Instructor of the RAST Maintainer Course. Terry designed and developed the ANZAC Frigate RAST course. Frontline Australasia employed Terry for 2 years as a Project Engineer with responsibilities that included resource and maintenance scheduling, commercial management, quality control and customer liaison.

Kal began working with Beak as the CFO in October 2015. Prior to his appointment Kal has held senior finance positions in Australia, the UK and in the UAE.
Kal is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. He began is career in 1998 and was part of the BHP Billiton graduate scheme. Kal then moved to the UK in 2002 where he worked in large multinational businesses across the telecommunications and media industries. In 2009 Kal was offered the opportunity to work in the UAE where he was a key lead in the successful sale of a local media business to Thomson Reuters.
In October 2015 Kal relocated back to Australia to take up the CFO position with Beak where he will be responsible for the financial and strategic direction of the Company.

Trent is considered an expert in Supply Chain and Logistics management especially within the Defence environment after completing over 18 years of service in the Royal Australian Navy discharging at the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
He has significant experience working within strategic supply chain and logistic environments supporting in house and client operations nationally and abroad. This experience is supported by various qualifications which includes, post graduate studies in both Supply Chain and Business Management.
With this extensive Supply Chan and Logistics background, Trent and the BEAK team have established a field proven hybrid 3PL logistics framework and operating model in support of Defence clients and strategic partners. Trent is responsible for all Beak Logistics personnel and for the delivery and growth of our 3PL capability and to staff deployed at various locations around Australia and abroad.

Phil brings 24 years of naval experience to BEAK Engineering. His qualifications in the aeronautical field include a Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Airframes and Engines and a Certificate in Engineering Aircraft Metal Fabrication. He was heavily involved in the development of rotary wing operations for the ADF Special Forces. His non aeronautical qualifications span from Clearance Diving to Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Counter Terrorism.
Phil’s management credentials include Certificate IV’s in Frontline Management and Training and Assessment and is a certified Quality Assurance Inspector.

Paul’s background is predominately fabrication design based and has a trade background being a qualified boilermaker. He successfully completed his mechanical engineering degree in the UK and has studied at Wollongong University where he attained a Masters of Engineering degree and is now a chartered engineer through the Engineering Council UK.
Paul has worked as part of the design team within the automotive and heavy fabrication industries, designing product for major OEM’s. Paul utilises 3D parametric design software at Beak to model our product and produce detailed engineering designs.

While at BEAK Ian has been employed as an Electronic Design Engineer responsible for the Design, Testing and Repair of the following equipment:
1. Tarmac and Off-road based Aviation Ground Power Units ranging in size from 45kVA to 180kW, including
but not limited to the Design and Testing of the following GPU’s currently in use by Qantas, G06, G16 and
G20 90kVA GPU’s, G09 and G13 160kVA GPU’s and G15Q 180kW GPU’s.
2. Specialized 50Hz Gensets for the Defence Forces.
3. Rotary Frequency Converters, from 60 to 90kVA in capacity.
4. 400Hz Loadbanks from 21 to 81kW in capacity.
5. Static Inverters and Converters.
Ian is responsible for all aspects of the Design/Production process including the initial Tender response, equipment specification, major component selection, design and development, prototype construction and testing, production management, QA, Customer liaison, training and repairs.
